Select what you wrote in Gmail, LinkedIn, X or an AI chat, right-click, and format it in place. It runs on this computer, so it’s free, private, and needs no API key or account.
One last step: set up on-device AI
FormatHub’s setup page is open in the tab next to this one. It checks whether this computer can run on-device AI, starts the setup, and lets you turn on Instant mode so even your first email of the day formats in a moment.
Closed it? Right-click any selected text in Gmail, LinkedIn or an AI chat and choose FormatHub › Settings and setup…
How to use it
- Select the text in your draft. Select all of it or just the part you want to clean up.
- Right-click and open the FormatHub menu. Three choices: Format fixes grammar and spacing and keeps your words, Rewrite improves the writing, Shorten says it in fewer words. Pick the voice for Rewrite once in the FormatHub popup.
- Check it and send. Changed your mind? Press Ctrl+Z or click Undo.
Faster: click inside a draft and press Alt+Shift+F to format the whole email. Quoted replies and your signature are left alone.
